ASSIGNMENT AND SOLUTION

More space for passengers and a better service
The development at Flesland will increase the capacity of the airport to 7.5 million passengers per year. The existing terminal was originally designed to handle 2.8 million passengers per year.

Western Norway's largest construction project requires solid management
Sweco is responsible for project management for the pilot project, design and construction of the new terminal building. We have been in charge of the development project from the draft stage and are responsible until the building is completed in 2017. We represent Avinor as developer and utilise the full range of our expertise to reach the target of a new and efficient terminal building at Flesland.

The project has been divided into four sub-projects: terminal, landside, airside and existing terminal. The expansion involves a new terminal of 55,000 m² and the existing terminal of 22,000 m². The building is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
