Renovation can help to both extend the life of older buildings and to convert them into environmental successes by virtue of energy optimisation. Sweco possesses extensive experience in respect of building conservation work and the assessment of antiquarian buildings, along with specialist expertise on protected and listed buildings.

When clients want to renovate or upgrade buildings we are responsible for looking after major assets. During this process our experts are able to provide the following services: feasibility studies, condition analyses, environmental assessrehament reports, damage assessments, maintenance planning, cost calculations, project design work, descriptions, tender specifications, contracting and follow-up during the execution of a project.

Sweco and the NGBC (the Norwegian Green Building Council) have jointly undertaken several research and development (R&D) projects for BREEAM certification. This means that we are a market leader in respect of BREEAM In-use for existing buildings.
