HSE consulting – KP and KU

The Norwegian Construction Client Regulations apply to all workplaces where temporary or changing building and construction work are carried out. Developers shall appoint one coordinator for a whole project or one coordinator for the planning and design phase (KP) and one for the execution phase (KU).

Sweco's planning and design coordinators draw up HSE plans and coordinate planning and design during this phase to take into account health, safety and the working environment.

The execution phase coordinator follows up the risks identified in the HSE plans and checks that project time schedules are realistic. Other work performed during the execution phase involves checking that the HSE plans are implemented by employers and sole traders, coordinating any of work which could affect HSE and ensuring that employers comply with the requirements on preventative measures contained in the Construction Client Regulations. Everyone working at building/construction sites shall also be entered on lists.
