Our hydrology, hydrogeology and hydraulics assignments range from rainfall/snowfall and flood analysis to subsoil water and hydraulic simulation using 1D, 2D and 3D simulation tools.

Sweco's hydrologists, hydrogeologists and hydraulics engineers employ their extensive expertise and excellent computer tools to assist clients with most of the challenges faced in respect of the disciplines concerned.

Sweco measures depth, water speed and water flow in rivers, lakes and subsoil water with the aid of advanced monitoring equipment. We use these measurements as a basis for creating terrain models and subsequently setting up and calibrating hydraulic models such as MIKE URBAN, MIKE 21 and HEC-RAS.

Most of our hydrologists have NVE approval for undertaking flood or dam-break wave calculations. They also model pollution and the transport of energy in subsoil water.
